The other day, the International Division of Heung Kong Middle School located in Jade Oasis released its good news of university enrollment, that as of May 1, 2018,  78% out of the 2018 graduating seniors have been admitted to the Top 50 universities of America (in terms of comprehensive strength; the same below), a new high for its enrollment rate! Meanwhile, its record of having 100% students admitted to Top 100 universities of America continues.

In fact, from 2013 to 2018,  the International Division of Heung Kong Middle School has kept a high percentage of graduating seniors admitted to the Top 50 universities of America.

The division not only serves as a bridge connecting students to prestigious foreign universities, but also pays attention to the cultivation of academic research methods and spirit, facilitating the further study of students. It is reported, student Yue Yumeng was admitted to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ranking  the 30th in America), and then pursued the master’ s degree at the Stanford University (ranking  the 5th in America); student Shi Yiqi was admitted to the University of Toronto (ranking the 1st in Canada and 21st in the world), and then pursued the master’ s degree at the Columbia University (one of the Ivy League).

At key middle schools, 10%-20% of the graduating seniors go abroad for study; and the percentage even comes close to 50% for some particular schools. The single-plank bridge of the college entrance examination is gradually expanding to a two-lane road of the examination and overseas study; increasing senior high school students are forgoing the examination and choosing to go abroad for university study instead. In response, schools with high-quality international education resources emerge.

Accompanied by the booming education demand, international senior high schools, the new things more than a decade ago, have become one of the important sally ports for high quality education. By actively enhancing its educational strength, the International Division of Heung Kong Middle School is committed to providing high-end quality international education.

At the beginning of this year, with the approval of the American College Board,  the International Division of Heung Kong Middle School became the first school to offer AP Capstone curriculum in southern China, also the first school in Chinese mainland to accept students from Chinese mainland for the curriculum.

Accredited by the American College Board, the AP Capstone curriculum is supported by all American universities and aims to strengthen the development of subject research ability of senior high school students. A student who has passed 4 general AP courses during senior high school can receive a AP international diploma issued by the  American College Board if he/she takes the AP Capstone curriculum. With a extremely high “gold content”, such AP international diploma not only can be converted to credits of American colleges, but also is broadly favored by the Ivy League and top universities; arguably, for Chinese students, it is the best stepping-stone to prestigious American universities.
